How is the magnification of a video microscope calculated correctly?
The types of microscope can be divided into metallographic microscope, electron microscope, tool microscope and video microscope. The video microscope is mainly observed through the display screen, which is different from the binocular observation of the conventional optical microscope. Today, I want to introduce the calculation method of the actual magnification of the video microscope.
Let's first understand the target size of CCD or COMS: the commonly used CCD or COMS has 5 sizes of 1, 2 / 3, 1 / 2, 1 / 3 and 1 / 4 inch.
Generally, conventional video microscopes are realized by using a third eye plus CCD or CMOS. If you have purchased a traditional two-objective stereoscopic, biological or gold equivalent microscope, how should you realize it? This requires that we not only do not eliminate the originally purchased products, but also save the cost to realize digital. At the same time, we can directly use the computer screen to observe the products and better protect our eyes. This needs to be realized through some transformation. We should know that the target size of CCD or COMS is closely related to the magnification, and its size will directly affect the magnification of the video microscope.
In general, the target size is the diagonal size of CCD or COMS. The commonly used CCD or COMS has 1, 2 / 3, 1 / 2, 1 / 3 and 1 / 4 inches. The actual size is as follows:
1 inch - the target size is 12.7mm wide × 9.6mm high and 16mm long diagonal;
2 / 3 inch - target size is 8.8mm wide × Height: 6.6mm, diagonal length: 11mm;
1 / 2 inch - the target size is 6.4mm wide × Height: 4.8mm, diagonal length: 8mm;
1 / 3 inch - target size is 4.8mm wide × Height: 3.6mm, diagonal length: 6mm;
1 / 4 inch - target size is 3.2mm wide × The height is 2.4mm and the diagonal is 4mm long.
Now that we know the target size of CCD or CMOS, it is easy to know the specific magnification of the digital microscope. We usually calculate according to the formula of digital magnification, and the specific formula is as follows:
Magnification of objective lens × (diagonal of computer screen / target size of CCD or CMOS) = total magnification.
The above is the calculation method of video magnification of Chensheng optical video microscope. For more details, please consult us
